Abstract

Triggered by the massive influx of asylum-seekers and the humanitarian crisis that followed, the European Commission published in May 2015 the European Agenda on Migration, which serves as the starting point to reform the common policies on border control, asylum and migration to cope with this challenge. However, the latest developments on this policies raise a number of doubts concerning asylum-seekers’ fundamental rights and States’ obligations under International Refugee Law.
