Abstract

Taking into account the number of active peacekeeping operations and the actual economic crisis, the financing of these operations becomes increasingly important. In this work, we analyze the funding systems established by the three main International Organizations that develop these missions (UN, NATO and EU); they are three totally different systems, so that we are interested in their essential elements, their advantages and disadvantages, in order to make a comparison between them from the point of view of their effectiveness.
