The family field and in particular, the matrimonial field in multicultural context provided by Islam in Europe, constitutes the framework propitious to the generation of hidden conflicts. The protagonists have acquired the nationality of the host country of the European Union and they have established their habitual residence there. However, their religious identity and its own voluntary submission to Islamic law rules, jeopardizes the state legal systems. This study explores the different legal solutions adopted by different systems and the approach of possible solutions from the Science of Conflicts of laws.
