Abstract

Business activities are the source of many environmental damages just a negative impact on human rights. Various types of international initiatives seek to regulate the activities of companies to avoid these consequences for the environment and human rights. While these international instruments have a soft law character, they establish a set of duties (substantive and procedural) due to companies. This research aims to identify and examine those duties for the purpose of determining the content and scope in order to compare them with those required to States in such situations.
