Abstract

This article analyses the request for the indication of provisional measures to the International Court of Justice in the case South Africa v. Israel concerning the application of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide in the Gaza Strip in order to infer the reasons why the Court has not considered the suspension of military operations and also to point out what possibilities South Africa has to request this measure again if new facts or circumstances arise from February 2024.
