After several decades of searching for a political solution to the conflict, the second Nagorno-Karabakh war has brought about a great change in the situation on the ground and even in the positions of the parties. At first, the stance of the United Nations (and, in particular, the Security Council) on the conflict was decisive and determined the position of other international actors. However, over the years, this international Organisation has been unable to adapt its resolutions and its response in general to the evolution of the conflict. This work examines the position of the main organs and organisations of the United Nations system on the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan, including its judicial dimension, taking into account the context of a certain crisis and the attempts to review the role of the United Nations in the field of peace and security.
